Winner: Green Fleet of the Year
Addison Lee's commitment to the environment from top down is exceptional. It gets involved in green projects that have no obvious commercial gain such as Change London and takes every opportunity to seek out efficiencies within its taxi fleet. Software removes thousands of 'dead' miles, while Emission Mitigation and traffic avoidance systems keep CO2 and the adverse effects of NOx and particulate emissions to a minimum.

Winner: Sustainable Transport
The Change London Sustainability Awards acknowledge the achievements of organisations, businesses, charities and individuals that have made a significant contribution to sustainability in the capital.
The award for sustainable transport went to London cab firm Addison Lee, which has been driving forward fleet emission reduction for its 3,500 vehicles.
After collecting the award, Addison Lee chairman John Griffin said: 'It is always a pleasure to be a winner but we have a long way to go. Addison Lee believes reducing emissions goes hand in hand with improved business efficiency.'

British Safety Council International Safety Awards Winner 2012
The International Safety Award recognises and rewards organisations that show a real commitment to improving corporate health and safety. The award is acknowledged by the UK Health and Safety Executive as a powerful motivator for achieving high safety standards. By identifying and controlling hazards, conducting risk assessments and monitoring safety performance Addison Lee ensures the health and well-being for our customers and staff.

Winner: Best Large Private Sector Fleet
Addison Lee is pushing on a lot of fronts. Last year’s runners-up have shown great persistence and have progressed well. The company is taking actions above and beyond the norm. Their fleet emissions reduction figures are impressive.
This category was looking for organisations that have implemented a broad range of measures across their fleet operations to help reduce emissions and improve efficiency.

Winner: Innovation in Fleet Management
Addison Lee’s latest gains come on top of impressive past performance. Designing their own solutions and making best use of technology to enhance customer service, reduce waiting times and avoid traffic congestion has become second nature to Addison Lee. And an electric mini cab pilot demonstrates their commitment to the future.
This category recognises innovation by individuals or organisations in the field of vehicle fleet management. They will have identified problems or issues within their fleet which have caused excessive vehicle emissions and wasted money. They will have designed and implemented imaginative solutions to overcome the problem and be able to demonstrate driver and organisational buy-in.
Fleet Safety Forum Awards 2011
Addison Lee was the overall winner of the Fleet Safety Forum Awards 'Eco Fleet Award' 2011 for our commitment to road safety through our vehicle allocation software, reducing 18,000 miles of dead mileage daily, saving 5.3 tons of CO2 emissions. This groundbreaking software not only saves carbon but improves the overall efficiency of the entire fleet. We were also Highly Commended for the Safe Vehicles Award in recognition of our overall management in reducing risks associated with at-work driving. Through our choice of safe vehicles and use of GPS technology to pinpoint a car at any one moment, our customers feel confident in choosing Addison Lee for their business or leisure trip.
Business Travel Awards 2011
Carrying more than 10 million passengers per year, Addison Lee was rewarded the prestigious title of Best Ground Transportation Company for our reliability, efficiency and environmental commitments. Not many companies can claim to have revolutionised an entire industry, but Addison Lee has taken the outdated, under funded and often poorly thought of world of minicabs to completely un-chartered territory. Energy Savings Trust Fleet Hero Awards 2010
Addison Lee was named as Runner Up for Best Large Private Sector Fleet for our commitment to carbon reduction, monitoring total fuel consumption and calculating the efficiency of individual fleet vehicles. We also help our clients to track their own emissions and eliminate future unnecessary journeys taken by their staff. In addition, Addison Lee was also awarded Runner Up for Innovation in Fleet Management for its revolutionary Auto Allocator, which enables the company to tackle emissions by reducing dead mileage. Addison Lee’s automatic allocator saves 18,000 miles of wasted journeys per day. Since implementing this unique system, Addison Lee has achieved a 20% CO2 emissions reduction (12.4% in 2008 verified by NEF) and is on course for a 60% reduction by 2025.
The London Green500
Addison Lee is the only company to have achieved Diamond status in the London Green500 twice. This is in recognition of ‘historic and ongoing progress towards reducing carbon emissions’. Addison Lee was the only company to attain Diamond status in 2009, and we also received the award in 2010. Both awards were presented to Addison Lee by London Mayor Boris Johnson. The London Green500 is a pioneering carbon mentoring scheme, which aims to recognise London organisations taking action to reduce their CO2 emissions. The scheme is designed to help reach the Mayor’s target of a 60% reduction in emissions in London by 2025. BP Car and Van Fuel Efficiency Awards 2009
Addison Lee was the overall winner of the BP Car and Van Fuel Efficiency Awards 2009 and the ‘BP Fuel Efficient Car and Van Fleet 2009’. Quentin Willson, a member of the judging panel commented: “Addison Lee has definitely gone the extra mile in reducing their carbon footprint. The BP Car and Van Fuel Efficiency Award is delighted to recognise and reward Addison Lee’s commitment to increasing their fleet fuel efficiency.”
The National Business Awards 2008/2009
Described by former Prime Minister Gordon Brown as 'the UK's business Oscars', the National Business Awards recognise success, innovation and ethics, and identify 'outstanding businesses of all sizes and from all sectors across the UK'.
In 2009 Addison Lee was awarded Business Innovation of the Year in recognition of its unique auto allocation software that provides real-time management of the company's fleet. This is in addition to the company receiving the ‘Best Technology’ award for the South East region in the 2008 National Business Awards
Entrepreneur of the Year 2009
John Griffin, Addison Lee’s founder and Chairman, was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in the London & South Region 2009 Awards. The Entrepreneur of the Year Awards are prestigious business awards, recognising entrepreneurs who 'inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement'.
The Energy Saving Trust Fleet Hero Award 2008
Addison Lee was awarded The Energy Saving Trust's 2008 Fleet Hero award for large fleets. The Fleet Hero awards aims to highlight best practice in fleet management and acknowledge organisations that are addressing climate change by reducing carbon emissions from business travel. Addison Lee was recognized for reducing the total mileage travelled, reducing emissions from private cars used on business, and using technology innovatively.
