Addison Lee Group appoints Simon Gordon as Chief Financial Officer

Addison Lee Group (ALG) is appointing Simon Gordon as its new Chief Financial Officer. Gordon, formerly CFO at Spire Healthcare plc and Virgin Active, starts at the global ground transportation group in June. He replaces David Stickland, who is leaving for a new CFO role outside the industry.

Gordon, with a wealth of experience in service businesses with both corporate and consumer customer bases, and in both public and private backed companies, joins Addison Lee Group as it focuses on becoming the world’s leading premium global ground transportation business. In the last year, ALG has launched in New York, unveiled a global traveller product serving 100 cities through its app and announced 2016/7 revenues up 31% to £345.8m ($484m).

Andy Boland, ALGs CEO said: ‘With Simon’s extensive commercial experience in growing public and private market businesses, he will be an ideal fit for the next phase of Addison Lee Group’s growth.’

He added: ‘On behalf of the Group, I’d like to thank David for his work in supporting Addison Lee’s return to growth and in helping us to expand internationally. We wish him well for the future.’

Gordon joins ALG in June, and will work with Stickland on a handover period. His move is part of the transformation of the Addison Lee Group through international acquisitions, new platforms for improved customer service and senior expertise.
