Sal’s Shoes finds new feet for pre-loved children’s shoes.

We know that a number of charities use and love our service, which inspired us to launch our ‘Addison Lee For Me, Addison Lee For Them’ Christmas campaign. We strive to be at your service, but we want to be at their service now, more than ever before. For every app booking made in the month of December 2016, we donated our courier service to charity, allowing the twenty chosen charities to use our services for free during 2017.

There are 300 million barefoot children worldwide. 58 million children worldwide are not in school. 29 million of these are because they do not have the means. In many countries you cannot go to school without a pair of shoes.

Sal’s Shoes collect outgrown children’s shoes and distribute them to those desperately in need. For some this may be their first ever pair of shoes.

They believe that ‘charity begins at home’, and distribute donated shoes worldwide; allowing more children to go to school and receive an education.

Sal’s Shoes is run by volunteers, and they collect all sorts of different shoes: flip flops, sandals, school shoes, slippers, trainers, winter boots and football boots. To date, in just three and a half years they have got over 175,000 pairs walking again in 35 countries, including the U.K.
