Driver Support Advisor

The role is based at our Grand Union site in Hayes.

The role of Driver Support Advisor involves communicating with drivers as a first point of call and all other departments as required. This role specifically looks to handle enquiries from executive self-employed drivers both over the phone and face to face.


  • Dealing with phone calls relating to all driver issues and driver payments
  • Communicating with drivers and all other departments relating to complaints from customers, members of the public and internal departments
  • Data input and administration work
  • Swapping of vehicles after accidents or breakdowns
  • Driver welfare issues
  • Taking driver rental payments (cash & card)
  • Checking waiting time queries
  • Checking routes
  • Quality Control
  • Dress code/ vehicle cleanliness
  • PCO & DVLA licence
  • Address changes and general amendments
  • Maximising potential driver earnings (working hours/ shift patterns)
  • Any other duties required by management

Skills & Experience

  • Experience of dealing with drivers advantageous
  • Competent IT skills
  • Good accuracy and attention to detail
  • Communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good decision-making qualities
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Confident working in a standalone role when required
