Learning & Development Manager

Background to L&D

L&D is a small evolving Centre of Excellence within the HR function. We are looking for someone with the professionalism, energy and experience to build a commercially orientated L&D Centre of Excellence to support the business through a time of growth.

Main Duties

  • Design, develop and deliver training programmes to a senior level with a strong focus on leadership and management
  • Manage on-going training programmes that provide the company with continuous learning and development solutions that supports the business objectives
  • Provide support and equip individuals with the right tools and skills to help them through change across the business
  • Take full ownership of the Learning Management System (LMS) and establish this as an online tool (LMS set up to be introduced January 2017 onwards)
  • Build, maintain and improve the on-boarding and induction programme
  • Manage a new leadership development programme focused on improving and developing talent across the organisation
  • Support the talent process of our people through coaching and delivering feedback to the management population
  • Share best practice and ensure L&D good governance across all other areas of the business (Driver Training, Contact Centre Training etc.)
  • Evaluate return on investment on all L&D activities and look for opportunities to make improvements
  • Model leadership best practices in the workplace holding self and others accountable to do the same
  • Build, implement and own an Addison Lee Apprentice Scheme albeit manage through the other L&D departments

About You

  • Possess a proven track record of managing L&D functions ideally gained within the HR discipline
  • Experienced in delivery of the full training cycle, including training needs analysis, design, delivery, assessment and evaluation
  • Proven track record of identifying better ways of working; developing and improving talent
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills both on an internal and external basis
  • Passionate, innovative and positive in approach, commercially driven and comfortable managing ever-changing priorities
  • Solid customer focus and the ability to influence and impact on the business and passionate for developing others
