Standard: Delivered by 6pm the Same Day
The Standard service is Addison Lee’s most flexible same-day option. Book your collection, and we aim to deliver your parcel by 6pm that day, anywhere within London.
This is the right choice when your delivery needs to arrive today but doesn’t have a specific time requirement. It’s well suited to routine business deliveries, documents, parcels and items that need to reach their destination within the working day without requiring a dedicated vehicle or an exact window.
Best for: Same-day deliveries with no specific time requirement, routine business parcels, documents and items needed by end of day.
Priority: Delivered Within 3 Hours of Collection
The Priority service steps things up significantly. Once your parcel is collected, it’s treated as a priority throughout the network and delivered within three hours.
For businesses where time genuinely matters, such as legal firms with document deadlines, medical and healthcare organisations moving time-sensitive items, or retail and e-commerce businesses fulfilling urgent orders, three hours from collection provides a reliable, defined window to plan around.
Priority is available across Addison Lee’s full range of vehicles, from push bikes and motorcycles for smaller items through to small and large vans for bulkier loads.
Best for: Urgent deliveries with a defined time requirement, legal documents, medical items, urgent retail orders and time-critical business materials.
Direct: Straight to the Destination, No Stops
The Direct service is Addison Lee’s fastest option. Your parcel is collected and taken straight to its destination with no intermediate stops. On average, Direct deliveries are completed within 90 minutes across London.
This is a dedicated vehicle assigned entirely to your delivery from collection to drop-off. There’s no sharing the route with other parcels and no delays from additional stops along the way. For items where speed and security both matter, Direct is the only option that guarantees both.
Typical use cases include high-value items, sensitive documents, passports, keys and anything where arrival time and secure handling are both critical.
Best for: The fastest possible delivery, high-value or sensitive items, passports, keys, legal bundles and any delivery where a dedicated vehicle is required.
Choosing the Right Vehicle
Once you’ve chosen your service level, the right vehicle depends on the size and weight of what you’re sending. Addison Lee’s courier fleet covers every requirement:
Push Bike: Eco-friendly and ideal for small parcels up to 3kg. Perfect for envelopes, passports, small electronics and tickets.
Motorcycle: The fastest option for cutting through London traffic, handling packets and small parcels up to 6kg.
Parcel Courier: A car-based option for items slightly too large for a bike, up to 20kg. Good for laptops, small suitcases and boxed equipment.
Small Van: For larger loads up to 400kg, equivalent to around 10 A4 boxes. Suits bulk office supplies, tech equipment and branded merchandise.
Large Van: For heavy or bulky deliveries up to 1,000kg, including a full pallet. Used for automotive parts, bulk document archives and large-scale equipment.
Luton Van: Addison Lee’s largest available vehicle, designed for high-capacity loads including furniture, lighting rigs, stage equipment and large store fixtures. Pre-book 12 hours in advance or call 020 7387 8888 for on-the-day availability.
