September 2021: An Update From Our CCO
Hi Everyone,
This time last year I remember welcoming you back to the office, with the hope that we were returning to normality but we all know how that story went, don’t we?. Thankfully though, with the successful vaccine rollout and restrictions now lifted, I can now welcome you back with optimism (cautious and otherwise).
This September we’ve seen children return to school, London noticeably busier with commuters pouring into the city and people enjoying long overdue catchups with friends and colleagues over drinks and food (you didn’t have to cook yourself).
It’s been a pleasure to see faces returning to the Addison Lee office, especially at a time when a lot has been happening and with lots more to look forward to.
Come and see us at the Business Travel Show
Come and see us at the Business Travel Show (BTS) on the 30th September and 1st October at ExCel London. The BTS provides a forum for the industry to talk about travel, learn new practices and exciting new techniques, and meet with colleagues and network.
You’ll be able to meet with our team on our stand, learn more about the event here.
Spotlighting our customers
We’ve also been spotlighting our relationships with clients over on LinkedIn, shining a light on (just) some of the great people within our business, through the eyes of our clients. We’ve highlighted our relationship value with a global law firm (based in London), by supporting their business and staff to move people safely, when it mattered most, working with our client partners to develop new programmes and highlight their success through case studies, which other customers are keen to see and learn from. Go over to our LinkedIN page to check them out and if you’d like to work with us to produce a case study, demonstrating your businesses achievements, then please contact your account manager.
Almost three-quarters of London are back at work this month
According to our spring ‘Back to Work’ survey, almost three-quarters of London businesses were planning a return to the office by September. Here we are, and the city is coming back to life with TFL stating that Monday 6th September saw the busiest morning on the Tube since March 2020. If you need any assistance in getting transport in place to support your colleagues, please reach out to your Account Manager, or email us at sales@addisonlee.com.
Our priority is, and always will be, getting you and your colleagues safely to where you need to be. For more information on our industry-leading safety and hygiene measures, head to our Safety Hub: https://www.addisonlee.com/safety/
Thank you for taking the time to read the above, in closing I’d like to take this moment to mention something a bit more personal and closer to our hearts. You may have seen our LinkedIn post recently, conveying the tragic passing of our HR Director, Mat Davies, following his battle with cancer. Mat was a great friend and colleague to many with a tremendous sense of humor and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with Mat’s family and loved ones at this incredibly sad time.
Best Regards,
Wesley Bishop
