March – Update from our CCO

I am pleased to say it’s been a very busy start to the year. Spring is in the air and apart from the recent cold snap, spirits are high at Addison Lee. A new year brings new opportunities and we have certainly started the year with a host of exciting initiatives and successes.

A full 5 Year TfL Licence

As you know, we have always been proud to lead the PHV and taxi industry. We wear our reputation for safety, quality and service as a badge of honour and know it sets us apart from the rest of the industry. That’s why I am proud to tell you that we have recently been awarded a full 5-year operator’s licence by Transport for London (TfL).

As the only large operator in London to hold a full 5-year licence, it is evident that safety is in the very DNA of Addison Lee, as we again have risen to the high standards set by TfL. While the licence renewal was a 6-month project, our driver, vehicle and data teams work to the highest levels of safety and service every day of the year, every year. This is our commitment to you and why we are proud to be London’s best.

Partnerships

This year we have continued to increase the number of electric vehicles in our fleet. We now have 1,000 VW ID4s operating across our standard fleet. Charging continues to pose the most significant barrier to adoption of EVs by our drivers, so we have been doing all we can to support them through this transition. On Friday 3rd March Richard Holden MP, Minister for Roads and Local Transport at the Department for Transport, unveiled our new rapid chargers at our Fleet Hub in West Drayton. Working in partnership with ChargePoint, we can now provide our drivers with vital charging opportunities close to Heathrow airport.

Black Taxis via Addison Lee

This month we completed the next phase of the roll out of our ComCab Black Taxi offering, enabling this iconic London service to Addison Lee business account holders. Black Taxis were designed to make the city accessible to all and our fleet of 2500 Taxis are perfect for those short journeys in and around the city. This new addition compliments the Addison Lee suite of services perfectly, giving our customers choice when moving around the capital.

PRISM by Addison Lee

To top this month’s busy activity off, we have soft-launched our Corporate Ground management tool, PRISM. This exciting phase means that our existing customers can begin to utilise the market-leading functionality PRISM has to offer, including; MI dashboard, Onboarding facilities, Billing and Invoicing functionality, and our newly created, unparalleled Travel Policy builder, enabling our customers to call the shots. All neatly wrapped within platform capable technology.

Technology is something we have always pioneered here at Addison Lee. We were the first operator to design and implement auto-allocation software and introduce a booking App for business and consumer customers, so we are thrilled to see PRISM change things up and take us to the next level.

Devoted to creating lasting bonds with our customers, recognising the value of their voices, we took the time to listen, engaging from the start, to deliver a solution that is more than ‘fit for purpose’. A solution that enables and empowers Travel Managers to manage their passenger car and courier programmes, all in one place.

If you’d like to know more or have any questions regarding the launch of PRISM, Black Taxi services or our ESG activity please contact your Account Manager.

This month marks 3 years since I returned to the business, and I have been immensely proud of everything that has been achieved in that time. A special thank you to all the team at Addison Lee, our amazing drivers and loyal customers who have been part of that journey so far.
