About Addison Lee
Addison Lee has revolutionised the private hire industry and today enjoys an unrivalled reputation for moving people and parcels in London. By offering more than 1,800 spacious people-carriers fitted with air-conditioning and satellite navigation as standard, consistent pick-up times, prices that are fixed (and on average 33% cheaper than black taxis on account) Addison Lee has become a serious rival to the black cab trade. A groundbreaking automatic allocation system allows us to offer a 'within 20 minute' on demand pick-up time within central London, a service unique within the capital.
We were the first minicab company to be certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the Investors in People accreditation. We are also the founding member of the PHCA (Private Hire Car Association), which represents the private hire operators and drivers of London. With a fleet of more than 2,000 vehicles in total, we also offer extensive transport services including motorcycle and van couriers, international and overnight deliveries and a large fleet of chauffeur driven Mercedes. In 2006, Addison Lee purchased Redwing, London's largest coach company, and now also offers coach travel for parties of twenty or more. As part of an ongoing commitment to the environment, Addison Lee has cut its emissions per journey by 17.6%* since 2002 and we are working on a further 6% year-on-year reduction.
