Valentine’s Day 2022 Competition T&C’s

These are the rules (the “Rules”) that govern the Addison Lee Valentine’s Day Competition (the “Competition”) taking place between (and including) 7 February 2022 9:30am until 10 February 2022 5:00pm (the “Competition Period”):

  1. Addison Lee is the promoter of the Competition

The promoter of the Competition is Addison Lee Limited (company number 01205530) whose registered office is at The Point, 37 North Wharf Road, London, W2 1AF (“Addison Lee”).

  1. The Competition

The title of the Competition is “Enter to win a Hayford & Rhodes Medium Duchesse bouquet delivered to your Valentine by Addison Lee.”

How to enter

  • The Competition will run during the Competition Period.
  • All Competition entries must be received by Addison Lee during the Competition Period. All Competition entries received outside of the Competition Period will not be valid or counted.
  • To enter the Competition, you must during the Competition period, follow @AddisonLeeCabs and @HayfordandRhodesFlowers on Instagram, like the Addison Lee Cabs post relating to this Valentine’s competition, Multiple entries are allowed by tagging a different person in each comment.
  • The Competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary to enter or win.
  • Addison Lee does not accept any responsibility for any technical or other difficulties encountered by entrants in entering the Competition or any entries that are delayed or corrupted. Addison Lee shall owe no liability to any entrant who is unable to submit their entry or any reason including without limitation due to any problem or incompatibility of the entrant’s failure device, any communication network or any system or server of Addison Lee.
  • Entrants are responsible for all costs and expenses relating to participation in the Competition, such as the cost of accessing the internet.
  • By submitting a Competition entry, you are agreeing to be unconditionally bound by and to comply with these Rules and the decisions of Addison Lee, which shall be final and binding with respect to all aspects of the Competition.
  1. Eligibility
    • The Competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except:
      • employees or subcontractors engaged by Addison Lee or any of its holding or subsidiary companies or other companies within Addison Lee’s group;
      • employees of agents, subcontractors or suppliers of Addison Lee or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the Competition or its administration; or
      • members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
    • Entrants must have a valid Instagram account and be logged in to their account with their settings set to public to enter.
    • Addison Lee is not responsible for any changes or unavailability of the Instagram service that may interfere with the Competition or ability of entrants to timely enter, receive notices or communicate with Addison Lee via Instagram in which case Addison Lee, in its sole discretion, may terminate or modify the Competition.
    • Addison Lee may: (i) extend any time limit or waive any of the Rules where a person might otherwise have been disqualified (without obliging Addison Lee to relax the Rules on any further occasion for that entrant or at all for any other person); (ii) terminate, extend or suspend the Competition at any time where this is necessary or desirable to do so; and (iii) substitute a product deemed to be an appropriate replacement and of equal or greater value in the place of any of the prizes (or any part of a prize to the extent divisible). Addison Lee’s decision in the exercise or interpretation of any of its rights or discretions in connection with these Rules shall be final and binding and no correspondence shall be entered into.
    • By entering the Competition you confirm that you are eligible to do so and that there is nothing restricting you from claiming the Prize. Addison Lee may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Competition.
    • Addison Lee will not accept Competition entries that are:
      • automatically generated through any electronic means;
      • completed by third parties or in bulk;
      • illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
      • are duplicate entries (including by the use of multiple accounts); or
    • Addison Lee reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify any entrant whose conduct is dishonest, unethical or runs contrary to the spirit or the intention of the Competition or these Rules, or which it considers may bring the Adison Lee brand into disrepute. The decision of Addison Lee is final and binding and no correspondence shall be entered into.
  2. The Prize
    • There will be two prizes available which will be won by two entrants. The prize for winning the Competition is as follows:
      • Hayford & Rhodes Medium Duchesse bouquet delivered by Addison Lee and a £50 promotional code; and
      • £50 Addison Lee promotional code to use on an Addison Lee journey or courier booking

(together, the “Prize”).

  • The Prize is subject to availability. If a flower pictured is unavailable for any reason, then the team of expert florists will substitute the bloom for a flower of the same or higher monetary value. Addison Lee reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value.
  • The Prize is not negotiable or transferable. There is no cash alternative for the Prize. The Prize cannot be replaced or refunded in the event of loss, theft or missed opportunity. The winner may not substitute, assign or transfer the Prize, whether in whole or in part but Addison Lee reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to substitute the Prize with one of comparable or greater value.
  • All costs and expenses associated with Prize acceptance and/or use and not specified in these Rules as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  • In order to claim the Prize you must respond to the Instagram direct message sent from @AddisonLeeCabs to the winner on Thursday 10th February with the full name and address of the desired recipient of the Prize. The recipient of the Prize must have a London postcode.
  • The Prize may only be redeemed between 10th February 2022 and 11th February 2022.
  • If the Prize is un-awarded, unclaimed, not redeemed in accordance with these Rules, or subject to claims which become invalid or which are adjudged void at any time, the Prize will lapse and may be re-awarded by Addison Lee (but without obligation to do so).
  1. Winner
    • The winner will be selected by Addison Lee at random from all valid entries. The odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received.
    • The decision of Addison Lee is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
    • Addison Lee will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after a winner has been selected in accordance with condition 1 via Instagram direct message.
    • The winner agrees that Addison Lee may use their name and image in any medium for its promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. If you object to any or all of your name and image being published or made available, please contact Addison Lee []. Addison Lee must still provide information where required by law or regulatory authority,
    • Addison Lee may ask the winner for proof of age, residence or eligibility. Delay or failure to provide the evidence to our reasonable satisfaction may result in an entry being void or a prize being forfeited.
  2. Claiming the Prize
    • You must claim the Prize in accordance with these Rules. Please refer to the details of how to claim in condition 5. If you do not claim the Prize by this date your right to claim the Prize will be forfeited.
    • The Prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
    • Addison Lee will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available after a reasonable number of attempts to contact them, the winners right to claim the Prize will be forfeited. Addison Lee may at its sole discretion offer the Prize to another eligible entrant.
  3. Limitation of liability
    • As a condition of entering, entrants agree that to the extent permitted by law, Addison Lee, its parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, franchisees, prize providers, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (the “Released Parties”) are released, will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against any liability for any losses or damages of any kind to property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of a Prize or participation in this Competition. Nothing in these Rules shall be construed to limit or exclude any liability of a Released Party for fraudulent misrepresentation, fraud, death or personal injury caused by the Released Party’s negligence or any other liability to the extent the same may not be excluded or limited as a matter of law.
    • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Addison Lee excludes all liability for any costs, expenses, loss or damage including indirect, consequential or economic losses arising (whether in contract, tort or otherwise) out of or in connection with an entrant’s participation in the Competition, entry into these Rules or receipt or use or misuse of any Prize.
    • To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Prize will be awarded “as is” and without warranty of any kind, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
    • Entrants acknowledge and accept that Instagram is not associated with the Competition, does not act as a sponsor or promoter of the Competition, nor does it endorse or administer the Competition in any manner. Use of Instagram remains subject to each service’s particular terms of use and privacy policies which entrants must agree to and comply with at all times in connection with their participation in the Competition.
  4. Data protection and publicity

In administering this Competition, Addison Lee may collect personal information from any entrant and, unless it has first obtained the entrant’s consent, Addison Lee (i) will not collect more of the entrant’s personal information than needed for the purpose of administering and analysing this Competition (including carrying checks as stated) and for posting features on its website which are informed by one or more entry-submissions; and (ii) will only use the entrant’s personal information for those purposes (and such use may include transferring the entrant’s personal information to Addison Lee’s respective associates.)   1. General
    • If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Rules, Addison Lee may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Competition.
    • Addison Lee reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Prize Competition where it becomes necessary in its sole discretion to do so.
    • No term of these Rules shall be enforceable by any person who is not a party to them, save that, to the extent Addison Lee deem it appropriate, Addison Lee shall be entitled to treat any of their rights under the Rules as having been granted for the benefit of their group companies, and/or one or more of their agencies and commercial partners.
    • These Rules shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction in the event of any dispute or any other matter arising in connection with the Competition or these Rules.
